HOLDEN – Dorothy M. (Davenport) Parker, 92, of 76 North Main Street, died Sunday, August 21, 2005, in UMass Memorial, Worcester, after a fall.
Her husband of 54 years, Carlton H. Parker, died in 1988. She leaves her daughter, Lois A. Ginsburg of Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida; a brother, Charles Davenport of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters, Helen Glavin Waterhouse of West Boylston and Mabel Ayrton of Sarasota, Florida; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. Her daughter, Louise P. Hills, died in 2003 and her sister, Annie M. Fairbanks, predeceased her. She was born in Milford, daughter of Roger A. and Margretta (Jackson) Davenport, was raised in Worcester and lived 54 years in Holden. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Holden and was very devoted to her family.
A graveside service for Mrs. Parker will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to the First Congregation Church, 1180 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520.
