Doris R. (Defosse) Nelson

HOLDEN – Doris R. (Defosse) Nelson, 88, of Sawyer Lane, died in Heartland Nursing Home, Brooksville, FL, on Thursday, March 20, 2008, after an illness.
Her husband, George K. Nelson, died in 1967. She leaves her sons, Richard E. Nelson and his wife Gerry of Cherry Valley and Kenneth E. Nelson and his wife Maxine of Brooksville, FL; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Robert A. Nelson, who died in 2004.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Worcester, the daughter of Edward and Sylvia (Lachapelle) Defosse and lived in Holden for 60 years. She was a graduate of Grafton High School, a homemaker, and a member of St. Mary's Church.
A funeral service for Mrs. Nelson will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
