WORCESTER – Doris M. (Pearson) Stedman, 93, of 25 Oriol Drive, died Saturday, December 10, 2005, in Autumn Village after an illness.
Her husband of 40 years, Victor S. Stedman died in 1991. She leaves her sister, Phyllis A. Thompson of Worcester; a sister-in-law, Faith Pearson of Queensborough, New York; three nieces, Marsha Susmann-Grogan of Wellesley, Candace Kilburn of Queensborough, New York and Tina Vincent of Enfield, Connecticut. A brother, Paul Pearson, a sister, Phoebe A. Pearson, and a niece, Sue-Ellen Pattiselanno, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Gustaf A. and Agnes M. (Medin) Pearson, and has lived her entire life in Worcester. She was a graduate of Commerce High School.
For many years Mrs. Stedman was a bookkeeper for the family business, Pearson Linotype in Worcester. She was an active member of the United Congregational Church and its Women’s Fellowship. She also loved gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles and music.
The funeral service for Mrs. Stedman will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home.
