HOLDEN / NEW BEDFORD – Doris L. (Breton) Michaud, 85, of 73 Duxbury Drive, Holden, died Sunday, August 21, 2005, in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband of 44 years, Maurice T. Michaud, died in 1985. She leaves her son, Kenneth W. Michaud and his wife Jane of Holden, and Maurice G. Michaud and his wife Michelle of Davenport, Florida; a sister, Claire Dube of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of Joseph and Emma (Gaucher) Breton, and lived in Holden since 2000. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and former member of St. Anthony’s Church in New Bedford. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, music and her grandchildren.
The funeral Mass for Mrs. Michaud will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will be private in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 559 Mt. Pleasant Street, New Bedford. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
