Doris "Dolly" Fisher

July 2, 1926 — October 11, 2021

WORCESTER – Doris “Dolly” Fisher, age 95 passed away on October 11, 2021 after a period of declining health.

Her husband of 42 years, Lawrence “Larry” Fisher a Worcester attorney died in 1995. She leaves her children, Elaine Fisher (Eric Schaefer) of MA, Dr. William Fisher and his wife, Kathy Amiri of Diablo, CA and Robert Fisher of Worcester, a grandson Maddox Fisher of CA and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, George and Jason Levine.
She was a founding member of Beth Israel Synagogue and its Sisterhood, the Genesis Club of Worcester and the former Mount Pleasant Country Club in Boylston. She was a member of Worcester Chapter of Hadassah, the Presidents Club at the Jewish Healthcare Center and its Ladies Auxiliary and NAMI (National Alliance of the Mentally Ill).

She graduated from Brown University with a degree in mathematics. Her family owned and operated the popular Robert’s Children’s Stores in Woonsocket, Pawtucket and Cranston, RI.

She was a real estate executive with Fisher Properties and Dorel Realty in Worcester for many years. She loved the Arts, playing bridge, travel, socializing and was an avid golfer, swimmer and tennis player.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI and was the daughter of Robert and Rebecca (Eisenberg) Levine and lived in Worcester since 1953.

The family wishes to thank Margaret Munene, Margaret N., Lucy and Elizabeth for their wonderful and devoted care of their mother.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 14th in Worcester Hebrew Cemetery on Cemetery Road, in Auburn under the direction of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
