Doris E. (Tricell) Rego

June 17, 1935 — September 20, 2010

HOLDEN/RUTLAND – Doris E. (Tricell) Rego, 75, of Reservoir St., Holden, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 20, 2010 in UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus, Worcester.

Doris was born in Leicester, Vermont, the daughter of Francis Maynard and Audrey Reba (Wetherell) Tricell, and lived in Rutland for 50 years before moving to Holden in 2008. She attended the Austine School for the Deaf in Brattleboro, VT and the Boston School for the Deaf in Randolph. She was married for 32 years to William J. Rego who predeceased her in 1986. She leaves her daughter, Beth Ward and her husband Peter, and granddaughters, Amanda and Kathryn all of Norton. Doris attended St. Patrick's Church in Rutland and the Central Mass. Deaf Senior Citizens Center in Worcester.

Friends and family are invited to attend a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Rutland. Donations in Doris' memory may be made to the Central Mass. Deaf Senior Center, c/o St. Matthews Parish House, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
