Donna M. (Healey) Holmes

HOLDEN – Donna M. (Healey) Holmes, 67, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 19 years, Jon G. Holmes; two sons, Mark J. Barbato of Leicester and Glen A. Holmes and his wife Lila of Charlton; three daughters, Brenda M. Fass-Holmes and her husband Barry of San Diego, CA, Debi J. Holmes of Rutland and Karen L. Votruba and her husband Julian of Oakham; and eight grandchildren.
Donna was born in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, the daughter of Howard J. and Gertrude M. (Meyer) Healey. She graduated from the St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing, Clark University and received her Master’s Degree from Assumption College. She was a professor of psychology at Becker College for over 35 years retiring in 2010.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henry and Lois Foster Hospital for Small Animals, Office of Development and Alumni Relations, 200 Westboro Road, North Grafton, MA 01536. Please make checks payable to Trustees of Tufts College.
