PRINCETON - Donald J Steadman, 84, passed away at home, surrounded with love on Friday, August 2, 2024.
Don was raised in Holden and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. He went on to serve his country as a member of the Army, spending part of his enlistment in Germany.
Upon his return, he would meet the love of his life Bonnie (Hannan). They would marry, move to Princeton, where they would build their home and spend the rest of their lives.
Don owned his own business, DJ Steadman Plumbing and Heating, serving his community and earning the reputation of being a hard-working, honest businessman.
He was an active member of his town, serving as a Selectman and the town Plumbing Inspector. He played an integral role in having the bandstand that is located on the town common, built. Allowing a place for all the residents of Princeton to enjoy.
He loved enjoying the outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting or just taking in its natural wonder and beauty. He also enjoyed spending time with countless friends, playing cards, volleyball and a good vacation.
He loved his family deeply. He leaves behind his daughter Michelle Capparelli (Steadman) her husband Casey, his son Douglas Steadman and his wife Aubrey and his granddaughter Kayla, as well as nieces and nephews.
Don is predeceased by his wife Bonnie Steadman, and his brother Richard Steadman.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, August 21st at 4:00pm, at Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
