Dolores Rouleau (Kozloski), 90, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023. Dolores was born in Brooklyn, NY and at a young age, moved with her family to Millers Falls, MA, where her family started a small farm. Dolores spoke fondly of her time as a young girl, working on the farm with her family. After high school, she attended Rutledge Training Center in Worcester MA, where she met the love of her life, Donald Rouleau. They later married in 1958 and enjoyed 63 wonderful years together. Del, as she was known to her friends, worked at Holden Hospital as Lab Tech and then UMass Memorial as phlebotomist, until she retired after a long and rewarding career. Del and Donald settled in Sterling in 1964 where she remained for 58 years. Del and Don enjoyed traveling together. Their favorite trip was to Hawaii, which they spoke about often.
Dolores is survived by her son, Daniel Rouleau and his wife, Kerry of Littleton MA; her grandchildren including Tyler of Sterling, Ashley of Leominster, Meaghann of Littleton and Emily of Nashua, NH; her brother, Henry Kozloski and his wife, Theresa of Agawam, MA; her sisters-in-law, Wanda Kozloski of Turners Falls, Jackie Rouleau of Burbank, CA and Fay Delorey of Manchester, NH; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many loving lifelong friends, including Pat and Mary Nugent of Templeton. In addition to her husband, Donald Rouleau, she is predeceased by her brothers, Salvatore LoDolce and Louis Kozloski; her sister, Julia Morris and her sister-in-law, June Sims.
Dolores loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, telling stories and laughing about her misadventures through life. She had a great passion for reading and loved her weekly trips to the Conant Public Library in Sterling. One of her favorite activities was going to the Sterling Senior Center and playing Wii bowling with all her friends and catching up on all the town’s happenings. She also enjoyed crafting and watching the Hallmark channel. She enjoyed her Oakwood Drive friends more than they will ever know. She was an absolute, beautiful, loving sole and will be greatly missed by all.
