HOLDEN – Charity D. Nolan, 33, of 40 Edgewood Drive, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, after a three-year battle with breast cancer.
She leaves her husband of 10 years, Garrett P. Nolan, Sr.; her children, Garrett P. Nolan, Jr., R. Nathan Carlson and Hannah M. D. Nolan all at home; her mother, Mary B. (Johnson) Carlson of Jefferson; three brothers, Michael S. Chesko, Robert S. Chesko and Jason M Carlson, all of Worcester; a sister, Elizabeth R. Young of Pepperell; a nephew and five nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward J. Carlson and has lived in Holden for the last seven years.
Charity was a graduate of Doherty Memorial High School in 1992. She was a local hairdresser for over 15 years, and recently she owned Pretty in Hatz where she created hats for adult and children cancer patients.
The funeral for Charity will be held on Monday, August 13th, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will be private in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 12th, in the funeral home.
