She attended Worcester State College and graduated from Northeastern University in 1977. In the early 80’s Dianne met and fell in love with a young man by the name of Dan Thibeault, at a Sansoucy family cookout at the home of her aunt and uncle, Ginny and Sonny Sansoucy. They were married on May 15, 1983 at Christ the King Church and lived in Worcester before moving to Holden in 1990. Dianne worked at Fallon Clinic in Worcester for several years and was a stay at home mom during her children’s formative years. Dianne always had a flair for color, home decorating and worked out of her residence as an interior decorator. She worked for other decorators the area.
Dianne was a talented quilter and seamstress and was a member for many years of “The Stitch and Bitch Club,” which consisted of several of her life-long childhood and newer friends and close relatives. They not only discussed their recent in-progress works of art, but escaped semi-annually to their ladies weekends away to Cape Cod and each other’s homes where they were free to chat about almost anything. She enjoyed creating beauty in all she did, particularly gardening, working in her yard and making quilts for special gifts to special people.
Her life was centered on family, faith and friendship. Dianne was an active member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Holden serving on the Alter Guild, Memorial Garden and Stewardship Committees. As a parent, Dianne was actively involved in her children's activities which included volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader. She was proud of her children and their many accomplishments and cherished time spent with them. She was selfless and caring by nature, and was a volunteer and board member of the Wachusett Food Pantry. Dianne’s last act of kindness and love was being able to give the gift of life by donating her organs to those in need. She would strongly encourage all to do the same.
