S Rhoda D. (Hashagen) Jablon

January 3, 1927 — November 23, 2008

HOLDEN – Rhoda D. ( Hashagen) Jablon, 81, formerly of Flagler Drive, died on Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Holy Trinity Nursing Home after a long illness.

Her husband of 32 years, Edward Jablon, died in 1987. She leaves two sons, Robert C. Jablon of Scottsdale, Arizona and Steven E. Jablon and his wife Amy of Lexington, South Carolina; two daughters, Christine M. Grinnell and her husband James of Holden and Laura A. Timmons and her husband Timothy of Chandler, Arizona; nine grandchildren and a niece. A sister, Irene Hashagen, predeceased her. She was born in Hew York City, the daughter of Charles and Frances Jablon, and lived 20 years in Warren, Pennsylvania before moving to Holden in 1999.

Mrs. Jablon worked for J.C. Penney Co. in Marlboro for several years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson and was active in the bereavement ministry and prayer group.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation period from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, November 28th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Main Street, Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
