HOLDEN – Dennis T. Alfreds, 58, of 36 Sherwood Hill Drive, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004, in Wachusett Extended Care Facility.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Gayle (Bardsley) Alfreds; two sons, Shaun T. Alfreds of Hubbardston and Brent M. Alfreds of Worcester; three brothers, Douglas R., Robert C. and Stephen P. Alfreds, all of Worcester; five sisters, Florence C. Tisdel, Lillian L. Macaruso, Winifred C. Entwistle, Sandra L. Kirkorian, all of Worcester, and Virginia P. Liseno of Las Vegas, NV; a grandson, Sebastian T. Alfreds of Hubbardston. Three brothers, Philip E., Herbert R. and Donald S. Alfreds, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Richard W. and Florence L. (Johnsin) Alfreds, and lived in Holden for the last 24 years. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade and served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Alfreds was a welder with Norton Company for 12 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Holden.
The Memorial service for Mr. Alfreds will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2004, in the First Congregational Church of Holden, 1180 Main Street. Burial will be private in Grove Cemetery, Holden. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the Wachusett Extended Care Facility, Activities Fund, 56 Boyden Road, Holden, MA 01520. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
