Dennis A. Doherty

STERLING – Dennis A. Doherty, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Born in Clinton, he was a son of Dorothea (Radock) Doherty and the late Donald A. Doherty.
Dennis was a 1976 graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School. He went on to pursue a long career in the automotive industry. Dennis owned and operated Deluxe Auto Body in Sterling for over 35 years, retiring in 2020. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing in the waters of Wells, ME and Hampton, NH.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his mother, Dorothea of Sterling; his niece, Shelly Travers and her husband, Daniel of Rutland; his nephew, Donald Doherty of Sterling; and his longtime companion, Christine Schultze of Lancaster. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his two brothers, Donald Doherty and David Doherty.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
