WORCESTER - Denise E. "The Kid" (LeBlanc) Nicolas passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was 58. Born in Worcester and raised in Holden, Denise was the daughter of the late Roger W. and Deno A. (Barton) LeBlanc and lived the last 35 years in Worcester.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 28 years, Kenny J. Nicolas; two brothers, Gary LeBlanc and his wife Wendy of Oakham and David LeBlanc of Worcester; two sisters, Jerilyn Pulsifer of Worcester, and Suzanne Mahoney of Sterling; many great nephews and nieces. Besides her parents, Denise is predeceased by her sister, Teresa "Terry" Beauvais.
Denise was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School, class of 1982. She spent most of her working career assisting her husband Kenny as the bookkeeper at Greendale's Pub in Worcester.
Denise loved going to the beach and vacationed in both Maine and Cape Cod. She bought presents for everyone and would spend hours shopping online for one item. Denise was a proud Jon Bon Jovi fan and attended numerous concerts including Hawaii.
She enjoyed the simple things in life was most comfortable just staying at home with Kenny watching old TV shows, classic movies or catching the latest crime-solving reality show. Kenny tells the story of the birthday mug she gave him that read at the bottom, 'You've been poisoned!" No surprise, Denise had a terrific sense of humor. She had a passion for animals and had several rescue dogs including JD and Bella. Denise particularly enjoyed collecting photographs and canvas artwork of cows. Her passion was obvious when you entered the kitchen where every inch of wall space was adorned by Cows.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Denise's family from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, August 31, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a service at 7 pm.
