Biography
WEST BOYLSTON – Deborah L. (Thomson) Gagne, 51, passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family and the staff at UMass Memorial Medical Center University Campus on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Raised in West Boylston, Debbie was the daughter of Nancy V. (Bauer) Thomson and the late Neil C. Thomson and lived several years in Leominster, Ashburnham, and Providence before recently returning to West Boylston.
She was a graduate of West Boylston High School Class of 1984 and attended both Becker College in Worcester and Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner. She worked at C&M Pizza in Leominster and most recently at Market Basket. In her youth she was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Boylston, where she participated in the choir and the church’s cheerleading squad.
Her children were the joy of her life. She cherished the time spent with them cooking, playing card games, and working on jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed painting, creative drawing, and reading.
Debbie will be affectionately remembered and missed by her children, Amanda, Nicholas, and Elisabeth Gagne; her mother, Nancy Thomson of West Boylston; a sister, Julie Riley and her husband, Andrew, of Northborough; nephews and nieces; friends; and her beloved cat, “Foosa.”A memorial service honoring Debbie’s life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 11, at The First Congregational Church of West Boylston, 26 Central St., West Boylston. Interment will be held privately at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
