Biography
AUBURN – David M. Trotsky, 92, of Auburn, died on Friday, January 30th in UMass Memorial Healthcare.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Ann (Pedone) Trotsky; 3 sons, Steven Trotsky and his wife, Becky of Sudbury, John Trotsky and his wife, Katie of Marblehead, and Michael Trotsky and his wife, Amy of Belmont; a daughter, Dr. Lora Trotsky and her husband, Dr. Andrew Kotin of Shrewsbury; and six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Willis, Alyssa, Maxx, Sarah, and Benjamin. He was predeceased by his brother, Abraham Travers, and by his sisters, Alyce Yessik, Ruth Levy, and Lilyan Sherman.
He was born in Webster, a son of Michael and Sophie (Seder) Trotsky, and lived 43 years in Needham and the past 17 years in Auburn.
He was educated at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He had been a research engineer in the semi-conductor industry.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and served in World War II.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2 PM ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. PRIOR TO THE FUNERAL, A VISITING HOUR WILL BE HELD FROM 1 TO 2 PM AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI. Following the interment at B’Nai Brith Cemetery in Worcester, Memorial Observance will be held from 4 to 7 PM with a Minyan Service at 6 PM at Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury St., Worcester.
