Biography
OAKHAM – David A. Rich, 66, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 5, 2015. He was born in New York, the son of the late C. Allen and N. Elizabeth (Dugard) Rich.
David attended Boys Trade School in Worcester and then began a 30 year career with Norton Company/Saint Gobain in Worcester, where he retired as a sheet metal mechanic. Following his retirement, David worked for City Welding and Sheet Metal Fabrication in Worcester for 10 years. He enjoyed spending time at home, tinkering and puttering about, enjoying the simple pleasures in life.
He leaves his beloved wife of 20 years, Melanie A. (Kalinowski) Rich; his daughter, Jordan E. Rich of Oakham; his two sisters, Beth A. MacAdams of Princeton and Joan E. Gehrig and her husband Jay of Westford, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will gather for a private graveside service and time of remembrance. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
