Biography
WORCESTER – David Nore, 85, of Worcester died on Monday, March 23, 2015 in Evergreen Place Assisted Living, Manchester, New Hampshire.
His dear friend of many years, Alice Pinard of Manchester, died in 2014. He leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Nathan Nore, and by his two sisters, Sylvia Nore and Anna Edith Cummings.
He was born in Worcester, a son of Harry L. and Celia (Hurwitz) Nore and was a lifelong resident before moving to Manchester four months ago. He served in the Air Force in the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. He was employed as a production control person for 33 years for Coppus Engineering before retiring in 1998.
He was an avid reader, dancer, lifelong Red Sox fan, and a New England Patriots fan since their inception. In his early years he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, the Civil Air Patrol, and National Guard before enlisting in the Air Force in 1951.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2:30 PM, TODAY, TUESDAY, MARCH 24TH IN TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in Holy Society Cemetery in Leicester.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
