Sterling – David E. Malo, 56, a life-long Sterling resident, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Francis and Doris (Kelley) Malo and graduated from Wachusett High School with the class of 1984.
David’s heart was always filled with a love for his community and his family. He was proud to work as a truck driver for the Town of Sterling Department of Public Works. He was an avid outdoorsman and particularly enjoyed trout fishing in the local streams and camping. David never met a stranger and was known for his story telling and gift of gab. Most important to David was spending time with his family and encouraging his children in their endeavors.
David will be lovingly missed and remembered by his beloved wife of 14 years, Beth A. (DeVarney) Malo; his sons, Justin Malo, Devin Day and Nathaniel Malo; his daughters, Abigail Lembo, Katelyn Levasseur and Joelle Day; his brother, Kenneth Malo; his sister, Catherine Locke; his grandchildren, Maci, Averie and Wyatt; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road, Sterling. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sterling Fire Department P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling.
