RUTLAND - David M. Glode, 64, of Bushy Lane, died at home after a recent struggle with cancer on Thursday, August 15, 2013. David was born in Worcester the son of Ernest J. and Stacia (Klezak) Glode and lived in Holden and Princeton before moving to Rutland over 25 years ago.
He is survived by his loving sister, Marilyn J. Wrightson and her husband James of Princeton; two brothers, Ronald A. Glode and his wife Lynne of Roswell, GA and Norman E. Glode and his wife Sharon of Pleasanton, CA; and several nieces and nephews. David is predeceased by two sisters, Virginia K. Merlin and Judith A. Gustafson.
David graduated from Commerce High School and worked for many years at several area lumber supply companies in the Wachusett area. For the last 18 years, David worked in the Maintenance Department at the Thomas Prince Elementary School in Princeton, retiring from there in July, 2013. David’s family wishes to express their gratitude toward David’s coworkers at the Thomas Prince School for their many acts of friendship, kindness and caring both before and especially during David’s illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St., Worcester.
