RUTLAND/PAXTON– David K. Beach, Jr., 83, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, December 27, 2014. He was born in Worcester, the son of David K. and Florence M. (Nicholson) Beach and had lived in Paxton for many years before moving to Rutland in 2004.
His loving wife of 59 years, Ella C. (Krog) Beach, passed away in 2012. He leaves a son, Kevin Beach and his wife, Jennifer of Whitingham, VT; two daughters, Karen C. Searles and her husband, Ronald of Holden and Kristine C. Helle and her husband, Jay of Rutland; two sisters, Mary Lou Seto of San Jose, CA and Carol Beach of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Melissa, Fletcher, Lauren, Connor, Jeffrey, Emma, Skye and Jade; two great-granddaughters, Maliyah and Kira; and many nephews and nieces.
David attended Wilbraham Academy, Worcester Academy and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He owned and operated Beach Engineering Sales Associates in Worcester for many years retiring in 1994. Previously, he was a sales engineer at Coppus Engineering in Worcester. David was a member of First Congregational Church of Paxton, Paxton Council on Aging, Paxton Recreation Committee, Sons of Paxton, the Friends of Moore State Park and was a long time member of the Paxton Fire Dept. He was a woodcarver, piano player, a lifelong skier and was a Tennessee Squire.
At David’s request, a private committal service will be held at Mooreland Cemetery in Paxton.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paxton Council on Aging, 17 West Street, Paxton, MA 01612.
