WEBSTER/PRINCETON – Daniel P. Drohan, 46, of 297 Main Street, Webster, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center. His father, Walter B. Drohan of Auburn also died on Tuesday.
He leaves two sons, Russell O. and Corey Drohan both of Hemet, CA; his mother, Constance Y. (Travers) Melick of Worcester; two brothers, David Drohan of Yarmouthport and Douglas Drohan of Princeton; five sisters, Audrey D. Aho of Oxford, Donna Brown on Springfield, Missouri, Dale Jones of LasVegas, Tracy Contois of Leicester and Noel Roseberry of Barre; his step mother, Beverly (Stoebel) Drohan of Auburn; a longtime companion with whom he lived, Erika Sprague; numerous nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, raised in Princeton, and lived 10 years in Webster.
Dan was a local chef and formerly worked at the Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield and the Mountain Barn Restaurant in Princeton. He was a volunteer chef at the Bread of Life Kitchen in Webster. He was also a volunteer chef at the United Church of Christ’s Homeless Shelter in Webster where he cooked and served several Thanksgiving dinners. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing.
The funeral for Dan will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, in the funeral home.
