Dana J. Linn

May 28, 1953 — August 2, 2014

HOLDEN – Dana J. Linn, 61, passed away at home unexpectedly on Saturday, August 2, 2014. He was born in Brockton, the son of Dorothy H. (Greenleaf) Linn of Jefferson and the late Warren H. Linn. He was raised in Whitman and lived in Florida for 14 years before moving to Holden in 2002.



Besides his mother, Dana leaves his wife of 11years, Crystal A. (Gunderman) Linn; two sons, Kevin P. Linn and his wife, Diana of Palm City, FL and Christopher E. Linn and his wife, Dyan of Leominster; two daughters, Megan E. Giddens and her husband, Jason of Oviedo, FL and Danielle C. Dickman of Worcester; a brother, Bruce W. Linn of East Bridgewater; two sisters, Cynthia L. Spratt of Plymouth and Nancy L. Smith of Johns Creek, GA; three granddaughters; two grandsons; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.



Dana graduated from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1971 and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Canisteo during the Vietnam War. He was a regional sales manager for many years at Inmed Diagnostics of Massachusetts. He was a typical handyman who could fix anything and enjoyed tinkering with anything he could. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed trips to the ocean. Dana’s greatest love was to be surrounded by his loving family, especially his grandchildren.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 6, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral for Dana will be held at 10 a.m. on Thurs., Aug. 7, in the funeral home. A committal service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Northville Cemetery, Oak St., East Bridgewater.
