ORANGE- Cynthia R. (Smith) Ayer, 52, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 18. 2014.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Chandler J. and Conjetta B. (McQuaid) Smith
Cindy was raised in Holden and lived in Hardwick for several years. She graduated from Wachusett Regional High School, and worked for many years as an office clerk at the Gardner and Orange Courthouse before leaving in 2013. A devoted mother to her children, Cindy also enjoyed visiting the beach, gardening and enjoyed the companionship and friendship of her dogs.
She leaves her four cherished children, Richard T. Ayer III and his wife, Jessica of Barre, Amanda J. Ayer of Winchendon, Elizabeth A. Ayer and Sara A. Ayer, both of West Brookfield; her two sisters, Chandra L. Bratko of Holden and Cathy Oliveri and her husband, David of Hubbardston; her grandson, Andrew; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Cindy’s on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6-8 p.m followed by a prayer service honoring her life at 8:00 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
