STERLING – Curtis A. Kennedy, 76, of Sunset Drive, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in Clinton Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 41 years, Ina S. (Cooksey) Kennedy; two daughters, Ann Ela and her husband Donald of West Brookfield and Theresa S. Palo and her husband Donald of Ashburnham; a sister, Sandra Reardon of Berlin; and many nephews and nieces.
Curtis was born and raised in Clinton, son of Carleton and Juanita (Kilday) Kennedy, and lived in Sterling for over 50 years. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and served in the Army National Guard, Co. B, 110 Armored Division, discharging with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked for New England Telephone, now AT & T for over 40 years. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Union Local 2325.
A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23rd, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road, Sterling. Memorial donations may be made to the Town of Sterling Fire Department Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564.
