HOLDEN – Craig R. Lindberg, 56, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after an illness. He was born in Greenfield, the son of the late Richard Lindberg and had lived in Shelburne Falls before moving to Holden twenty-nine years ago.
He leaves his loving wife of 32 years, Christine N. (Beck) Lindberg, his children, Lily Lindberg of Holden, Todd Lindberg of Worcester, and Emily Lindberg of Holden; his mother, Betsy (Cushing) Lindberg of Chicopee; his sister, Kristen Williams of Southampton; his father-in-law, Robert Beck, Jr. of Holden; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Todd Lindberg.
Craig graduated from Mohawk Trail Regional High School, earned his master’s degree at Assumption University, and proudly served his country as a sergeant in the Army National Guard for six years. Craig was a supervisor for many years for the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families before retiring due to his illness in July. He was an Eagle Scout, a Civil War Reenactor and was an avid reader.
Craig’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the care and compassion provided by the doctor, nurses, caregivers, and the countless others that touched his life during his struggle with cancer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Craig will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28th in the funeral home. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family.
