RUTLAND – Cora-Lee Mohamed, 64, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Worcester Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late John F. Sr., and Eleanor M. (Seavey) Mohamed and had lived in Worcester before moving to Rutland in 1997.
She leaves her children, Kenneth McCarthy and his wife, Heidi, Michael Mohamed, Sean Mohamed, Marshall Mohamed, and Maria Mohamed; her brothers, Mark Mohamed and his wife, Tami of Paxton and John Mohamed, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Boxborough; her grandchildren, Xavier McCarthy, Michael Mohamed, Ryan Mohamed, and Ana Lucia Mohamed; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Larry Alberts.
Cora-Lee worked at Walmart in Leicester for many years before retiring. Previously, she worked in the emergency room at UMass Memorial Hospital on Belmont Street. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and was a longtime foster mother. She was devoted to her family, loved chocolate and enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 8th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Cora-Lee will be held on Tuesday, August 9th with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main Street, Rutland. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family.
