PRINCETON - Clyde MaGaw's life was the true definition of well lived. A man who was successful in business, traveled the world and was a cherished friend to so many, Clyde tried to live each day to the fullest. On Sunday, January 31, 2016, while Clyde was attending a theatrical production, which was one of his favorite pastimes, he was suddenly stricken ill and passed peacefully at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He was 59. Clyde was born in Clinton, a son of the late Sally A. (Wade) and Milford Magaw, Jr. He was raised in Sterling, attended Wachusett Regional High School and graduated from Montachusett Technical High School. He earned a B.S. degree in Engineering from Lowell Technical College. Clyde began working at Nypro Inc, Clinton sweeping the floors at the age of 17. He caught the eye of the owner and was encouraged go to school and soon rapidly advanced his career at Nypro, working as a manufacturing engineer for the next 30 years until his retirement in 2004. Following his retirement, Clyde used his technical skills to consult with other manufacturers with engineering problems as Clyde was able to fix anything, from machinery to cars. A consummate grease monkey, Clyde loved to dive into a project head first. Living in Princeton at the foot of Wachusett Mountain, Clyde enjoyed the great outdoors, riding his Harley Davidson, hiking, and recently, mountain biking the area as well driving the open road in his beloved ’74 Camaro. He was an avid NASCAR and Drag Racing fan, and loved to snowmobile across the northeast. Clyde loved animals and was especially fond of horses and dogs, and always was concerned for their welfare. He also loved music and attended countless concerts, including more than a dozen of his favorite band, Rush. Clyde will be truly missed by his wife and dearest friend, Paulette C. (Marek) Magaw; his three uncles, Carroll Magaw of Maine; Alan and Roland Wade, both of Sterling; several cousins including his dearest, Michele Cadoret of Sterling; and countless friends.
