BARRE – Clementine Bakutis, 86, of 334 Farrington Road died Saturday, January 1, 2005 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after an illness.
She leaves two sons, Joseph P. Bakutis and his wife Linda of Worcester, and Paul B. Bakutis and his wife Chris of Barre; a daughter, Margaret M. Laukaitis and her husband Daniel with whom she lived; five grandchildren, Megan Bakutis, Michael A., Kristen R., Laura A. and Anna Laukaitis. A son, Anthony J. Bakutis predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Pinkus and lived many years in Worcester and 12 years in Barre. Mrs. Bakutis was the nutrition coordinator at the Green Island Nutrition Center’s Elderly Nutrition Program. She was a former member of Our Lady of Vilna Church in Worcester.
The funeral service for Mrs. Bakutis will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5 in the Mausoleum at St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St., Worcester. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, Massachusetts Chapter, 180 Rustcraft Rd., Dedham, MA 02026.
