STERLING – Claire Marie (Hazelton) Cecchini, 55, of 16 Muddy Pond Road, died peacefully at home on Thursday, October 27, 2005, after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 34 years, Ronald J. Cecchini; two sons, Brian A. and Mark A. Cecchini both of Sterling; her daughter, Laura K. Cecchini of Sterling; two brothers, James E. Hazelton III of Milton and Paul F. Hazelton of Norwood; many nephews and nieces. A sister, Mary Ellen Willis of New Jersey, died in 2004. She was born in Cambridge, daughter of James and Barbara (Cowhig) Hazelton, and was raised Norwood before moving to Sterling 31 years ago.
Mrs. Cecchini graduated from Aquinas College in Newton and later managed restaurants including The Bistro at Cyprian Keyes Golf Course in Boylston and at Four Points by Sheraton in Leominster. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church in Sterling.
The funeral for Mrs. Cecchini will be held on Monday, October 31, from the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. Calling hours are from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, in the funeral home.
