Christy L. Turner

HOLDEN - Christy L. Turner, age 53, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 in the company of her two daughters, after fighting a long battle against endometrial cancer. Born in Leominster, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Karen T. (Kosiewski) Turner.

Christy attended Bancroft High School in Worcester, and later attended the University of Miami and graduated from Worcester State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
She most recently followed her passion for animals by working as a dog groomer, and was planning on opening her own dog grooming business. She was also passionate about dog showing, where she made many close friends. Christy was a dog lover, having a special place in her heart for her Mastiffs and St. Bernards.

Christy loved going to Spec Pond in Lancaster where she enjoyed boating and tubing with her cousins Chabre and Bobby. As many knew, she also had a passion for Jeeps. On an ideal day, she could be found driving around her Jeep, which she named “The Brat”.

Besides her parents, she leaves her two daughters, Danielle Ornstein and her husband, Stephen, of Cheshire, CT, Paige Bartell and her husband, Augie, of Hewitt, NJ; her cousins, Chabre Barnaby and Bobby Turner, of whom she was very close; and her two dogs, Henrietta and Paisley.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Christy’s family from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, May 22, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Lancaster.
