Christopher J. Ingel

Brookfield – Christopher J. Ingel, 56, died peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Fitchburg, the son of Salvatore and Linda (Racine) Ingel.
Chris graduated from St. Bernard’s High School and attended Syracuse University. He had a passion for cooking and went on to a long career as a Kitchen Manager and Chef at several local restaurants. He also enjoyed gardening and was an avid hockey fan. He will be dearly missed.
Chris is survived by his wife of 22 years, Michele A. Renaud-Ingel; his brothers, Jeffrey, Scott, Craig and Cory Ingel; his sister, Tracy Poche and her husband Chad, his nieces and nephews, Matthew, Nicholas, Troy, and Sydney Ingel, Conner Poche and Dane Ellsworth, his aunt and uncle, Gail and Robert Breitenbecker, his cousin Alan Ingel, his mother-in-law, Beverley Renaud and her partner, Richard Beaudreau, his father-in-law, Michael J. Renaud and his partner, Judith O'Neil, his sister-in-law Cheryl Renaud and her husband Timothy Williams, Paula Ingel and Ellen Becker and Samantha Dudak .
He was predeceased by his parents, his paternal grandparents, Albert and Dora Ingel, his maternal grandparents, Richmond and Frances (Hunter) Racine and his Uncle Frank Ingel.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, Inc., P.O. Box 136 East Brookfield, MA 01515. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
