Christine A. (Hanson) Ring

February 18, 1940 — November 30, 2018

STERLING – On Friday, November 30, 2018, Christine A. (Hanson) Ring, 78, put down her coffee and quilting and left to join her beloved husband, Laurence "Larry" Ring, Jr., who passed away on April 10, 1995. Chris and Larry raised four children and lived in Sterling for over 50 years. She was known for baking wonderful confectionary creations and cake decorating skills. She was also an exceptionally gifted quilt artist who shared her wonderful handwork at the annual Sterling Fair for many years.

Chris’ exceptionally beautiful and many award winning quilts will continue to keep family members and loved ones warm and safe in their embrace for many years to come.

Chris was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Boylston and also served the children of Sterling for many years as the Children’s Librarian of the Contant Free Public Library and head librarian for Houghton School. Many will remember her wry smile and gentle way. Chris was also very involved with the International Order of Rainbow for Girls for many years. She served as Mother Advisor of Clinton Assembly #99.
