HOLDEN – Christine M. (Bisceglia) Iafrato, 91, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Avery Manor in Needham after an illness.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Matteo and Antonia (Falcone) Bisceglia and had lived in Worcester before moving to Holden in 1969. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson and enjoyed cooking, baking, trips to the ocean, good seafood and loved to spend time with her family.
She leaves her loving husband of 61 years, Frank J. Iafrato; two sons, Frank M. Iafrato and his wife, Anna of Marshfield Hills and David J. Iafrato and his wife, Christine of Carmel, IN; two sisters, Esther Dembowski of Worcester and Maryann Ponty of Pembroke Pines, FL; five grandchildren, Alexi, Michael, Daniel, Robert and Patrick Iafrato; and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Bisceglia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Friday, November 7, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester. Burial will be private at St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
