PAXTON – Chester (Chet) J. (Joey) Witkowski, Jr. 64, of Paxton left us too soon on September 19, 2021. He passed from complications of COVID- pneumonia. He was the son of the Chester J. Witkowski, Sr. and M. Lola St. Martin.
Joey lived in Paxton his entire life. He was a 1975 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. After high school he entered the Air Force and left with an honorable discharge in 1983. Locally he worked as a material handle for many years.
He loved animals especially dogs. Animals first, people second! His best friend Cody is very happy he is with him again!
Joey was a true friend. You had no doubt where you stood with him period. He was honest, dependable and a very spiritual man with a big heart.
His love for motorcycles was evident in his collection of Harley Davidson, and his wardrobe of only Harley shirts. Participation in motorcycle rallies that benefited others was his favorite pastime.
Chet will be missed by his many family and friends.
He leaves his bride of 9 months, Jody Laraia who made him the happiest man ever. He also leaves his sister Linda Witkowski Higgins of Harwich, nephews, Mark Russell of Orange Port, FL and Zachary Russell of Westminster. Other loved ones he leaves, Jason, Jordin and Jameson Laraia of Paxton and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and nephew Steven Higgins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 4:00-8:00PM at the American Legion Post, 306 in Paxton.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 26 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Miles Funeral Home in Holden.
Burial services will be private.
