Chester E. Oldakowski

SMITHFIELD, RI – Chester E. Oldakowski, 60, of 21 Randell Street, died at home on Saturday, March 10, 2007.

He leaves his mother, Lorraine D. (Mathieu) Oldakowski of Greenville, Rhode Island; a close friend, Constance Sylva of Chepachet, Rhode Island; aunts, uncles and cousins. His brother, James J. Oldakowski, died in 2003. He was born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, son of the late Charles J. Oldakowski, and lived in Smithfield since 1971. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked in automotive sales, Woonsocket, for many years.

The funeral for Mr. Oldakowski will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 20, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1325 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rhode Island Veteran’s Action Center, 685 Cranston Street, Providence, RI 02907.
