STERLING – Cheryal M. (Maki) Parker, 54, of Laurel Ave., passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 surrounded by her loving family in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after an illness. She was born and raised in Worcester the daughter of Edward G. and Victoria L. (Stewart) Maki and had lived in Sterling for 25 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Donald B. Parker; two sons, Donald E. Parker of Worcester and Michael C. Parker and his wife Michelle of Hubbardston; a daughter, Shannon P. Lee and her husband Jason of Sumter, SC; her parents, Edward and Victoria Maki of Worcester; two brothers, Christopher Maki and his wife Karen of Oxford and Michael Maki and his wife Cindy of Hubbardston; a sister, Donna Belsito and her companion Bob Ludy of Oxford; six grandchildren, Michaela, Bryant, Breann, Jackson, Benjamin and Bentley; and several nieces and nephews.
Cheryal graduated from Dorothy High School in 1976. She was a certified nursing assistant for Oakdale Nursing Home in West Boylston for over 25 years retiring in August 2012 due to illness. Cheryal was dedicated to her job and put her patients first above all else. She was well known and respected for her compassionate care giving and kind treatment of the many residents she cared for over the years. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and co-workers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. The funeral service for Cheryal will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 16, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling.
