PAXTON ~ Charlotte (Noyes) MacDougall, 87, of Paxton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at The Odd Fellows Home in Worcester. Her husband, William E. MacDougall predeceased her in 1960. She was born on October 17, 1923 in Franklin, NH, the daughter of Walter and Bernice Noyes and was a resident of Paxton for 58 years.
She was a graduate of Becker Junior College, and during her career worked for Worcester State College, as well as the Paxton school system and library. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Paxton, The Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She leaves her two sons, John R. MacDougall of Vernon, CT and Douglas W. MacDougall and his wife Ann of Holliston. She was also the beloved grandmother of Kristen MacDougall Hebert and her husband Marc of North Haven, CT, Heather Anne MacDougall and her fiancé Tim Lipstreu of Manchester, CT, Andrew MacDougall of Ayer, Kate Viarengo and her husband Clayton of Deering, NH, and Jennie MacDougall of Wellesley. She also leaves her forever daughter in law, Caroline Johnson of Manchester, CT. In addition she leaves three precious great-granddaughters, Payton and Reece Hebert, and Samantha Charlotte Viarengo. She was predeceased by her sister, Priscilla Green of Bangor, ME.
Charlotte leaves a legacy of virtue and life values. She, by life, taught her children and grandchildren how to live to be an honest, kind and educated person. She leaves many memories for her grandchildren such as, sugar and chocolate chip cookies, her love of reading and the importance of education. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 21st, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral service for Charlotte will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 22nd in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of Paxton, Memorial Fund, 1 Church Street, Paxton, MA 01612.
