WORCESTER – Charles R. Thibodeau, Sr., 76, of 80 Goldthwaite Road, formerly of 1097 West Boylston Street, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at home.

His wife of 52 years, Patricia D. (Skorb) Thibodeau, died in June of 2003. He leaves a son, Charles R. Thibodeau, Jr. of Phillipston; two daughters, Sheryle A. Thibodeau of Princeton and Nicole M. Gleason of Worcester; a brother, Neil Thibodeau of Worcester; four sisters, Elizabeth Robideau of Ellsworth, Maine, Loretta A. Haynes of Jefferson, Shirley Rahaim of Westminster and Mary Meola of Rutland; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A brother, Raymond Thibodeau, predeceased him. He was born in Fitchburg, son of Charles D. and Laura (LaBrasseure) Thibodeau. He was a Navy Veteran and served during the Korean War.

Mr. Thibodeau worked for Greendale Oil Company, Bancroft Oil Company and later for Marane Oil Company before retiring. Enjoyed dancing, fishing, small projects and loved nature.

Mr. Thibodeau’s funeral will be held Friday, March 12, 2004, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston Street (Rte. 12), Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2004, in the funeral home.
