WORCESTER - Charles Calvert Kressler passed away on December 29, 2018 at age 66 in Columbia, SC.
He was the youngest son of the late Jacob J. Kressler and Augusta H. Kressler, MD. He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Sarah (Brown) Kressler and Charles Kressler of Worcester and Ida (Hurwitz) Holmstock and David Holmstock of Philadelphia. He is survived by his brother, Steven A. Kressler and his wife, Joyce Kressler of Worcester and his sister, Carolyn Kressler Greenberg, M.D. and her husband, Stanley Greenberg M.D. of Columbia, SC as well as nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Charles lived in Worcester for many years. Due to continuing disability issues Charles spent the latter part of his life in special needs facilities in Pennsylvania and South Carolina.
Despite his limitations Charles had a wonderful sense of humor and irony. He was quick to quip and never hesitated to say what he had on his mind. He had a great fondness for McDonald’s hamburgs, hot black coffee and pretty women, and never was at a loss to make those feelings known.
Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the B'Nai Brith Cemetery on St. John's Road in Worcester under the direction of Richard Perlman of Miles Funeral Home of Holden, where he will finally rest in peace with his parents at his side.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to be made to the Babcock Center, Inc., PO Box 4389, West Columbia, SC 29171.
