HUBBARDSTON – Charles “Chuck” J. Alexander, 57, formerly of Shrewsbury and Holden, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, August 21, 2015. He was born in St. Louis, MO, the son of Shirley A. (McVey) Alexander of St. Louis and the late Charles N. Alexander.
He leaves his loving wife of 14 years, Margaret “Marge” E. (Potter) Kriz Alexander; his daughter, Megan Patricia Alexander of Cheshire, CT; Marge’s two children, Steven E. Kriz (Nina) of Franklin and Tammy L. Komidar of Cuba, NY; a brother, William Alexander of San Francisco, CA; four sisters, Debra Dinolfo (John) of Charleston, SC, Diane Alexander of Sunderland, Eileen Kidder (Tristram) of St. Louis, MO and Linda Whitcomb of Turner Falls; four grandchildren, Kayla, Justin, Nicholas and Elizabeth; a great grandson, Vinny; and many nephews and nieces.
Chuck attended Southern Connecticut State University and graduated from Charter Oak State College. Chuck owned and operated Caring Hands of Worcester and was a certified nursing assistant at Oriol Healthcare Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Previously, he owned his own IT company, Creative Consulting, Inc. He was a member of Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester. Chuck enjoyed gardening, camping, photography and trips to the White Mountains. He had a passion for technology and music and particularly loved to play his guitar with his friends. A devoted father and family man, he will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Chuck’s family on Sat., Aug. 29, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester, 90 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606. Visiting hours will be followed by a 10:30 a.m. memorial service at the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crozier House, 10 Hammond Street, Worcester, MA 01610, McLean Hospital Development Office, 115 Mill St., Mail Stop 126, Belmont, MA 02478-9106, or Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
