Biography
WORCESTER - Charles S. Arachy, Sr., 98, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Worcester Health Center after an illness. He was born in Worcester, the son of Stanislaus and Alesandra (Moscienska) Arcykiewicz.
His loving wife of 70 years, Evelyn M. (Nordstrom) Arachy, passed away in 2010. He leaves a son, Charles S. Arachy, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Rutland; two daughters, Judith F. Paxson and her husband, James of Seaford, DE and Sandra E. Spaderna of Bolton, CT; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son, Stephen Arachy; a granddaughter, Karen Paxson; a grandson, Michael Whittemore; a son-in-law, Henry Spaderna; and three brothers and three sisters.
Charles was a machinist for thirty-eight years at Norton Company in Worcester before retiring in 1976.He was a proud member of the Polish Falcon’s where he excelled at swimming, diving and tumbling. He also enjoyed gardening, golfing and bowling in his spare time. Charles passion through the years was creating and maintaining his beautifully landscaped and manicured property on West Mountain Street.
A private funeral service will be held at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Holden.
