Cecilia S. Rodriguez Greene
November 24, 1939 — February 26, 2010
PRINCETON - Cecilia S. Rodriquez Greene passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 26, 2010 at 70 years of age. Known by all as Cecy, she was born in Bogota, Colombia, S.A. She was predeceased by her father, Carlos A. Rodriguez, mother, Marie Isabel Chaves Rodriguez and sister, Gladys A. Rodriguez also of Bogota. Her parents encouraged her love of languages, the arts, and the importance of education, which she remained dedicated to her entire life.
A recipient of two masters' degrees in education, Ms. Greene was a member of the Foreign Language Department at Wachusett Regional High School, teaching French and Spanish for 29 years. Greatly admired by her colleagues and generations of students, Cecy was passionate about teaching and greatly treasured these many friendships. Her desire for learning never wavered, taking courses in everything from fly fishing, architecture, and opera, in addition to traveling the world and a love of birds, gardening, and foreign film.
Her greatest love was spending time with family, especially her seven beautiful grandchildren, who knew her as "Lita": Alex, Katie, Isabel, Caroline, Mason, Parker and Jack. She was truly a blessing to them all. Cecilia leaves behind her three devoted children, Wendy and her husband Andrew of Chester, NJ, Sherry and her husband Hunter of Ashburnham, MA and Larry and his wife Angela of Holden.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6th at 1 o'clock at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street (Rte. 31), Holden, Massachusetts.
