HOLDEN – Cecelia R. (Casper) Desroches, 97, died Thursday, November 10, 2005, in the Haven Health Center, East Hartford, Connecticut.
Her husband, Arthur David Desroches, Sr., predeceased her. She leaves two sons, Paul M. Desroches of West Boylston and Arthur D. Desroches II of Ft. Myers, Florida; two daughters, Barbara A. Klojzy of Manchester, CT, and Linda F. Creed of Virginia Beach, VA; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Two sons, Herbert and Edward Desroches, two daughters, Dorothy Atkins and Agnes Smola, five brothers, Frank, James, John and Stephen Casper and Joseph Kasprzak, and three sisters, Mary Majewski, Catherine Danzillio, and Rose Wernholm, all predeceased her.
Mrs. Desroches was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank and Mary (Schilaza) Caspar, and lived in Holden most of her life before moving to Connecticut in 1992. She was a member of St. George’s Church.
The funeral for Mrs. Desroches will be held on Monday, November 14, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, 1290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
