S Gail C. (Clemence) Tosi

STERLING - Gail M. (Clemence) Tosi, beloved wife of Peter A. Tosi, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008.
Besides her husband of 55 years, she leaves her three children and their spouses, Andrea Tosi and Stephen Cummings of Middlefield, Sandra Tosi and Paul Maidment of Abington, CT and Robert Tosi and Jo-Ann Dery of Littleton; four grandchildren, Jed, Morgan, and Samuel Cummings and Hannah Tosi, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born May 22, 1932, she was the daughter of Harold H. and Mildred (Swanson) Clemence. She was the sister of the late Arthur S. Clemence.
Gail graduated from North High School in Worcester and Green Mountain Junior College in Poultney, VT. She was a member of the First Church in Sterling. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. The family thanks the staff of UMass Memorial Lakeside 3 Cardiac ICU for their excellent care.
A memorial service will be held at the First Church in Sterling, 6 Meeting House Hill Road, on Saturday, January 10th, at 2 p.m. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the following organizations, all of Sterling, MA 01564: The Sterling Garden Club, P.O. Box 1234, Sterling EMS, P.O. Box 515, or The First Church in Sterling, P.O. Box 40. Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling is directing arrangements.
