HOLDEN – Catherine D. (Tucholski) Oldakowski, 75, of Wachusett Street, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 2, 2012.
She leaves her loving husband of 56 years, Stanley J. Oldakowski; four sons, Edward M. Oldakowski and his wife Nancy of Paxton, Stanley M. Oldakowski and his wife Marie of Barre, Thomas J. Oldakowski and his wife Elizabeth of West Boylston and Michael H. Oldakowski and his wife Amy of Oakham; a brother, E. James Tucholski and his wife May of Boynton Beach, FL; and a sister, Francis Rivera and her husband Steve of Fredericksburg, VA. She was a loving Grandma to her nine grandchildren, Christopher, Nikki, Sarah, Emily, Nathan, Allison, Cayla, Avery, and Nick; and had several nieces and nephews.
Born in Buffalo, New York, she was the daughter of Edward and Emily (Augustin) Tucholski, and lived 56 years in Holden. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Cathy worked at Holden Nursing Home and New England Tag, both in Holden. She enjoyed her family, friends and grandchildren very much and was always there with a smile. Cathy was skilled in needlepoint and crochet which was second to none.
A private service will be held in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Stroke/Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
