Biography
STERLING – Catherine H. (Kaminski) Rose, 72, of Sterling, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, March 13, 2017. Catherine was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Gargulinski) Kaminski and was a lifelong resident of Sterling.
Catherine was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School, Class of 1962, and New England School of Accounting in Worcester. She worked as an accountant for the Wachusett Regional School District for 20 years retiring in 2000. She was actively involved in the Sterling Recreation Department and the Saturday Ski Program. She also enjoyed coaching and umpiring softball in the Sterling Lassie League.
She enjoyed many years camping with her husband and daughters throughout New England and particularly looked forward to their annual vacation at Salisbury Beach. After the passing of her husband John in 2002, Catherine and her sister-in-law drove on a “trip of a lifetime” camping excursion to Alaska. She will be missed by her family and friends for her warm heart, bright smile and spirited personality.
Her beloved husband of 36 years, John D. Rose, died in 2002. She will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Pamela J. Aragi and her husband, John of Holden, Linda M. Roseberry and her husband, John of Sterling, and Sandra E. Regan and her husband, Michael also of Sterling; six grandchildren, Peter, William, Katelyn, Erica, Victoria and Matthew.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Catherine’s family from 10 to 11:30 am on Saturday, March 18, at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, followed by a funeral service honoring her life at 11:30 am. Interment will be held privately in the spring at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Town of Sterling Fire Department, Ambulance Fund, P.O.
