Paxton: - Carolyn "Cally" A. (Everleth) Stone, 97, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Chester A. and Myra D.(Doane) Everleth and lived most of her life in Paxton.
She leaves her loving husband of 76-year, James R.Stone, Jr.; her sons, Christopher D. Stone and wife, Mary of Paxton, Timothy J. Stone and his husband, John Balidisserotto of Cambridge, Matthew P. Stone and his wife Linda of Paxton, her daughter Pamela S. Hair and her partner Paul Robinson of Paxton; her daughter-in-law Kathleen and husband Michael Richard of Worcester; cherished grandchildren, Emily, Kelly, Dillon, Garrett, Amanda, Russell, Channing, and Tabitha; great-grandchildren Brenden, Nathan, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Natalie, Derek, and Luna. Also, many beloved nieces and nephews. Cally was predeceased by her brother David Everleth and her sisters, Ruth Walker, Joyce Anderson, and her twin Cathryn Tibbets.
Carolyn graduated from Commerce High School and later worked for several years at Mass Protective Assurance Company before leaving to raise her family. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Paxton and served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Evening Circle and was on the Religious Education Committee She was a member of the Paxton Woman's Club, Friends of the Library, the P.T.A. and P.E.O (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She also was a former Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader. In her leisure, Cally enjoyed canvas painting, tole painting, quilting, rug hooking, knitting, crocheting, reading, playing cards and was the Chinese checker champion.
Family was most important to Cally celebrating every birthday and holiday with the best China, linen tablecloths and napkins, homemade meals, and freshly baked desserts.
She believed her calling in life was to take care of children and the elderly.
A celebration of life service for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 1 pm in the congregation church of Paxton, I Church Street, Paxton. There are no calling hours, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregation Church Music Committee or the Paxton Ambulance Service.
