Carolyn M. (Kazmierczak) Ramsey

STERLING -- Carolyn M. (Kazmierczak) Ramsey passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was 73. Born and raised in Worcester, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Zygmunt and Stasia (Zawicki) Kazmierczak and lived over 50 years in Sterling.
She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester and worked many years in food service for Marriott & Sodexho at Norton Company.  Carolyn was a faith filled and devoted member of St. Richard of Chichester Church in Sterling and volunteered at the Sunday morning breakfasts. She dedicated her life to her family and loved sitting watching her birds.
Carolyn’s family would like to express their deep appreciation to the dedicated staff at Saint Vincent Hospital and the Wellness Center for their compassionate and unwavering care.
Her beloved husband of 20 years, John H. Ramsey died in 1996. She will be affectionately remembered and missed by her son Joseph R. Furmanick; two daughters, Jaquelyn M. Giroux of Princeton and Evelyn J. Ramsey of Sterling; two brothers, Christopher Renihan of Worcester and Allan Geneva of Iowa; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Clayton, Bridget, Johnny and Ashley; several nephews and nieces. Besides her husband, Carolyn is predeceased by her son, John Furmanick, who died in 2014.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carolyn’s family from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, May 22, at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, May 23, at St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge St., Sterling. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling.
